Evergreen Fine Art celebrates the West with an art-filled weekend on August 26-27. The weekend kicks off with a western-style art opening on Friday, August 26, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Many of this year’s participating artists will be in attendance. That night, a silent auction called “The Masters of Today and Tomorrow” begins, featuring china plates with artwork from local fifth-grade students. The gallery hosts this special event in conjunction with Center for the Arts Evergreen.
On Saturday, August 27, the artists create new works during a Quick Draw from 10 to 11:30 a.m. in Evergreen Fine Art’s nearly half-acre sculpture garden. Following the Quick Draw is a champagne brunch. Later that day, a live auction takes place. Prior to this weekend’s festivities, the gallery asked each artist to submit an image of their choice. The artist’s images were then converted onto china plates. These unique plates, along with the artists’ paintings from the Quick Draw, are available for sale during the live auction. Proceeds from the sales of all plates benefit art education in the local schools. Tickets to Saturday’s events are $25 per person.
